Property Taxes
PROPERTY TAXES
The Property Tax Due Date is 4:30 pm on the last business day of July each year. Late payments will receive a 10% penalty on any outstanding balance – including any unclaimed Provincial Home Owner Grant.
PROPERTY TAX CHANGES

HOME OWNER GRANT PROGRAM
Credit for the home owner grant is not automatic. If eligible, home owner grant application forms must be completed in full, signed and received at the Village Office by the tax due date. Payment is not required at the time of making application for the grant, however, outstanding amounts will be subject to the late penalty charge. If your application requires supporting documentation, please submit it along with your application. Village of Cache Creek residents eligible for the Home Owner Grant deduction can claim their grant at anytime through out the year. This will be particularly advantageous for home owners who have set up automatic withdrawals, use online banking, have their mortgage company making tax payments or will be out of the country for a short period of time.

WAYS TO PAY YOUR PROPERTY TAXES
Pay by Mail
Consider mailing a post-dated cheque for the due date. Make the cheque payable to the Village of Cache Creek and mail it to Box 7, Cache Creek, BC, V0K 1H0. Payments by mail must be received by 4:30 pm on the tax due date to avoid the penalty. Don’t forget to claim your Home Owner’s Grant if applicable.
Pay in Person
Bring your payment and your Home Owner Grant, if applicable, to the Village Office at 1389 Quartz Road from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, Interac debit card, Visa or MasterCard.
Pay by Online Banking
Online banking can now be used for property tax payments at the following institutions:
- Interior Savings Credit Union
- Royal Bank
Your Roll Number from your tax notice is your account number. Credit for the Home Owner Grant is not automatic. If eligible, home owner grant application forms must be completed in full, signed, and received at the Village Office by the tax due date.
Pre-Authorized Tax Payment Plan
After your current property taxes have been paid, enroll in our automatic monthly prepayment program for next year. The program includes ten fixed amount automatic debits from your bank account on the 15th day of each month from August to May. The balance, if any, is due on the Tax Due Date. Interest is paid on a monthly basis (calculated at an annual rate of 3.5% below RBC Prime)
